Couples struggling with infertility and/or secondary infertility often feel alone and without true understanding or empathy from those around them. Navigating the emotional and physical aspects of infertility can be painful and can consume your life.

"It's just not fair," "What did I do to deserve this?” “They just started trying and are pregnant!" and/or "What's wrong with my body?" are some of the most common thoughts that often emerge from struggles with infertility.

Factors that increase the need for infertility and/or fertility treatment support may include:

  • Lack of understanding from friends and/or family

  • Duration of infertility and/or fertility treatment period

  • Stress on your relationship

  • The emotional roller coaster of treatment, including increased risk of depression and anxiety

  • History of anxiety and/or depression

Infertility and/or fertility treatment support can:

  • Provide the assistance you need to survive harder times of the year (i.e. holidays or events when there may be emotional triggers)

  • Teach you the benefits of mindfulness and how it can help you cope

  • Show you how to let go and relinquish control

  • Ease your stress from secondary infertility and alleviate your fears about the future
  • Aid you in making decisions along the way (i.e. whether or not to continue treatment, take a break, freeze eggs, change paths, etc.)

  • Help you develop techniques to share with family and friends about what you are going through

  • Assist you in surviving as a couple through the pain of infertility

  • Improve your day-to-day coping skills to manage emotional and physical challenges

Sessions can be offered to you, your partner individually, or as a couple, or as a combination of these at any point in your treatment.
